The Calderglen Campus environment includes two large classrooms, and a large outdoor garden, staffed by a team of qualified personnel, managed by the Principal Teacher and a team which includes Early Year Officers and Practitioners. We plan an educational programme of PLAY activities based on key aspects of children’s development and learning.
We have therapy students and teaching students who work in the school on a regular basis.
Young children learn best when they are actively involved and enjoying themselves. Play activities emphasise early literacy and numeracy as well as health and wellbeing, bringing together all the aspects of the Early Years Curriculum in an enjoyable way.
At Calderglen, children learn environmental studies with great enthusiasm because they are actively involved in our wonderful outdoor area which includes a vegetable allotment and a wildlife garden.
The Curriculum includes:
- Health & Wellbeing
- Language & Literacy
- Maths & Numeracy
- Expressive Aesthetic
